The main gate on the football field will open at 8:15 a.m. Graduates and their parents should
arrive and enter through the main gate TOGETHER. Parking is allowed at Bishop Kenny and
Assumption.
• Please arrive with enough time to park, enter the gate, and locate your seats on the field. To
assist with seating, ushers and directional signs will be on the field.
• Graduates and their parents will have a designated cluster of seats on the field that will be 6
feet apart from the next family. Three seats will be available in each cluster. If stepparents will
be in attendance or less seats are needed, email Mrs. Jimenez at mjimenez@assumptionjax.org
by May 22nd.
• Entire rows will be directed to stand up by an usher. As the graduate’s name is called, the
graduate will come to the stage. The parents are allowed to join the graduate at the stage so
they have a better view of the receipt of the diploma and for a photo opportunity. Parents may
also choose to stay seated.
• The diploma and a small bag will be placed on a table by an attendant wearing gloves, and the
graduate will pick up the diploma and bag from the table and then move down the field to the
picture station.
• Aiko Photos will take photos at the graduation ceremony. The Graduate will be directed to take
an individual photo and then a photo may be taken with the parents if they have travelled with
the Graduate to the stage.
• The Jacksonville Sherriff’s Office will provide security and help maintain the social distancing
guidelines.
• Weather: Although we all join in praying that this is not an issue, if the weather is not
cooperating and there will be delays, we will send out a text message alert no later than 8:00
a.m. on May 29th.
